Google Display & Video 360 enables marketers to manage their campaigns across display, video, TV, audio, and other channels, all in one place. Linking your DV360 account to your DCN enables you to export your first party audiences for use in your advertising campaigns.
You can create a new Display & Video 360 (DV360) destination from your DCN by going to the Integrations -> Destinations section in your navigation menu.
To link your Display & Video 360 account, give your export destination a name and click "Create." You'll be redirected to Display & Video 360, where you must authenticate and allow your DCN to access your advertiser account by signing in with the Google account linked to your Display & Video 360 account.
If you want to export MAIDs to your DV360 destination, you can optionally enable export of MAIDs and enter a mobile app ID. (either for iOS or Android).
Once confirmed, you will be redirected to your DCN and will see an Advertiser ID field which will have a list of all available partners and advertisers associated with your Google Display & Video 360 account. You will be able to select from this list or manually enter the Advertiser ID of the advertiser you wish to export to.
Note: Each destination can only support one advertiser account, if you would like to link your other advertiser accounts, you will have to create a new destination in your DCN.
Finally, if you created the destination using your DCN UI you will be redirected to the destinations listing. If you used the CLI, you will be able to export directly from the command line.
Only data collected in the first-party context can be used to create Customer Match Audiences in Google Display & Video 360. Learn more about Customer Match Policies.
To export an audience to your Display & Video 360 account, locate the desired audience and click the 'Export' button in the top-right corner. You will then be prompted to choose your preferred export destination from a list of available options.
When exporting to DV360, an audience will be created within your chosen advertiser and its unique audience ID will be shown within the export summary page in your DCN.
Each export will create a new audience in your DV360 account. If an audience exists with the same name as your DCN audience, the audience will be appended with a number and you will get a new DV360 audience ID.
You can transfer emails and phone numbers to your DV360 account. Keep in mind that DV360 does not accept empty audience exports; ensure that the audience you've selected includes the desired ID(s) for a successful export.
Your export will appear under the selected advertiser under Audiences, in your DV360 advertiser account typed as Customer Match - Contact Info. The audience name will be based upon the name of the audience you exported from your DCN.
When using Customer Match audiences in Google Display & Video 360, it's essential to be aware of certain limitations that can affect their targetability. These limitations, pertaining to inventory compatibility, third-party tracking, creative format constraints, and sync requirements, play a crucial role in determining how these audiences can be effectively utilized in your campaigns.
For a full overview of these limitations and guidelines, see the Limitations section of the Google Display & Video 360 Documentation.
